Colin's baptism

Yesterday was not only Colin's eighth birthday, but also the day he was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was a really special day.

Here's our family outside the church before the baptism started.

Here are Greg and Colin dressed in white clothes and ready for the baptism.

We were so happy to see so many friends and family there. Colin picked out the songs, as well as who would speak, pray, and so on. We sang "Scripture Power" and "When Jesus Christ Was Baptized." Our wonderful home teacher, Matt Durkovich, spoke about baptism, and Colin's cousin Brandon gave a great talk on the Holy Ghost. Greg baptized Colin - a first for both of them, since Greg has never baptized anyone before.

We really appreciate everyone who took part, or who took the time to come and support Colin on this important day. It was wonderful all around.

I'm so glad that Randy and the boys were able to go to the baptism. Sorry that I had to sleep and get back to work. Colin is such a good kid and we are so glad to have him as a family friend!
