We had a lot of bills to pay with our tax return this year, however we wanted to do at least one fun thing with the money, so we went out and bought a new trampoline for our backyard.
We bought a 14' round trampoline with a safety enclosure. We put the trampoline together over a couple of my (Greg's) lunchbreaks and have been enjoying it ever since. We even attempted a family campout on it a couple weeks ago (hence the blankets and pillows in the above photo.) Unfortunately, neighborhood noise, temperature, and comfort had most of us giving up a bit early on the attempt.
Here's the kids with their friend Seth, whom we watch most weekdays, jumping with a bunch of balloons. We have a one-at-a-time jumping rule, but we're not as strict when it's just playing around.
I also set up our hammock in the backyard this year, which I never got around to doing last year. In fact, I avoided going out in our backyard as much as I could last year. Hopefully this will give me and the family more incentive to step out of the house once in a while.
