For Memorial Day we went to go visit Maria's sister who lives just outside of Austin. Brenda, William and Rachel Wicker welcomed us for the weekend and put on an impromptu firework show for the boys (and the rest of us.) Colin & Spencer were particularly thrilled as this was the first time they got to handle sparklers.
They also had some roman candles and a few other rockets that exploded in the air. We were all thoroughly impressed. Especially by the rocket that surprised Maria after exploding and then landing less than a foot away from her.
You can tell by the sky in the photo that the sun wasn't quite down yet when we had our show. We wanted to get the kids to bed which is why they're in pajamas.
