We went out with Brenda's family on Memorial Day to see the countryside and a few other sites in the area outside of Austin known as "Texas Hill Country."
This was at a scenic stopping point off the highway overlooking a valley and what is called Devil's Backbone.
Here's a cute picture of Maria and Spencer at that stop. Since Maria's our main photographer, she doesn't end up on this side of the camera very often.
We stopped at a place that does live glass blowing demonstrations. In this picture in the back, the craftsman is placing the glass in a super hot furnace to heat it up and shape it a bit.
After that we visited a small town called Wimberley which had a lot of cute shops. After we had exhausted ourselves there, we parted ways with the Wicker family and headed back to Fort Worth with a brief stop to see "Shrek the 3rd."
