This year for Halloween, we went to our church's Trunk-Or-Treat activity for the first half of the night. Afterwards we went to another family's neighborhood for a bit of Trick-Or-Treating.
Unlike the last couple years, we didn't have a family theme that we dressed as. Everyone had their own costume:Colin really wanted to be a ninja this year. Spencer wanted something new each week, but we ended up convincing him to be Harry Potter. Plus, he has his own real forehead scar to match the costume. I dressed in my magicians' costume, and Maria wore her bellydancing skirt (which unfortunately is mostly covered by the kids standing in front of her.)
Here's Colin and Spencer with their friends Robbie and Emily. Robbie was Yugi from Yu-Gi-Oh, and Emily was Princess Belle.
I tended our own trunk and offered balloon sculptures rather than candy. I was pretty much mainly making swords for the boys and butterfly bracelets for the girls.
Here was my favorite costume of the evening, Steven Foster dressed as one of the employees from the CareerBuilder "Don't Just Survive The Work Week" ad campaign.
We had a really fun evening and have enough candy from that night to last us through Christmas, if not longer.
