Have I mentioned yet that we got Rock Band? It's like Guitar Hero, only there are drums, guitar (and bass, if you have two guitar controllers, which we don't yet), and a microphone to sing. It's a lot of fun. Greg has spent quite a few lunch hours mastering the drums so he could unlock more songs for us to play.
We had our friends the Gees over the other night, and it was a lot of fun to play with them. Okay, Aubrey declined the pleasure of playing, but Jon got really into it! Not only does he make a fairly fierce and competent drummer, but he sings a pretty convincing Metallica "Enter Sandman"!
The kids had a lot of fun watching, and attempting to play when it was their turn. I'm hoping that having games like this will help my kids with their sense of rhythm and stuff. Yes, there is an educational value here! (:
