Part 6 of Greg & Maria's trip to Vegas.
Sunday was our last day in Vegas. There were still a few little things we wanted to see before leaving town, though there was no way we'd finish our stay having seen everything we wanted to.
We got up Sunday morning and packed up the room. Most of the packing was actually trying to figure out how to arrange things to get all our souvenirs home. Luckily Maria brought an extra duffel bag, so we had extra space to pack things in and bring home.

After packing, we went downstairs for breakfast. We went back to the buffet and asked for two for breakfast. The cashier looked indignantly at me and said, "This isn't breakfast, it's brunch. In fact, it's champagne brunch." I guess the difference between breakfast and brunch, is that they can charge more when they call it brunch. And I guess we could have had lots of free champagne had we been drinkers, but that didn't interest us at all. We were just hungry. So we had brunch, which tasted a whole lot like breakfast to me.
Afterwards we went and grabbed our bags and checked out of the hotel. We still had most of the day before we needed to get to the airport, so we decided to go and see a few more hotels. We went to Paris and parked and then walked over to Caesar's Palace where Maria had first been to when she arrived, but I had not seen yet. We walked through the hotel and into the shops where she took me to see the FAO Schwarz store that she'd told me about on Thursday. We had some fun there for a while (and got a few more items that we then had to add to the other stuff we packed) and then headed to the Bellagio.

We mainly wanted to catch the fountain show which we had somehow missed, managing to always pass the hotel at the wrong time for the show that occurs every half hour (or 15 minutes at night). We were still early when we got there, so we went inside and went through the gardens inside that people had just raved over. It was a nice garden, but somehow I don't think either of us were as impressed as what people had talked it up to be. Eventually we exited and went back outside where we were finally able to catch the fountain show out front.

We returned to the Paris hotel specifically around lunch time so that we could try and get some French food. I got us a sandwhich (on French bread, of course) and some pastries, while Maria went to a creperie. I never have been a fan of crepes, but Maria sure loves them.

After that, it was still a little early, but we didn't really have anything else to do, so we headed towards the airport. Here's where stuff gets much less interesting. We turned in the rental car, waited at the airport for a while, and then flew home. We got back late Sunday night, just in time to get most of a night's rest to try and get back to our regular life the next day.
And so, finally, this ends our trip recount. Now to get on to the posts about all the other things that have been happening while I've been writing these!
