Presenting: Team Halloween by Colin Whitehead
Let's back up from Christmas letters for a moment and get more into the true spirit of October with this original Halloween-themed story from Colin.
Let me give you a little background to help explain things. A few months ago our kids discovered Strongbad and Homestar Runner when I downloaded an adventure game starring those characters on the Wii. One thing you get to do during the game is create your own "Teen Girl Squad" comic which is a comic that Strongbad occasionally makes which features the adventures of four pencil-drawn stick-figure teenage girls who always die in really crazy ways.
Inspired, Colin set to work to create his own comic with dreams of copying and selling it and making his fortunes. As incentive to help him finish before Halloween, I promised to take his story and put it in Flash similar to the original "Teen Girl Squad" episodes on Homestarrunner.com.
So please enjoy the adventures of King, Mum, Bony, and Furball in the first episode of "Team Halloween."
(If you'd like to purchase a paper copy of "Team Halloween" from Colin, just let him know! He's feeling very entrepreneurial about the whole thing. This is his equivalent of a lemonade stand.)
