A Lego breakthrough

This year, I've noticed more and more how capable the boys are getting with building Legos. We had bought them a couple of smallish Batman Lego sets, and they put them together without any adult help whatsoever (which was really nice). Today, however, was amazing to me. We bought a Lego Castle set that has 973 pieces, and I was resigned to a day spent working on it. However, after a brief pep talk (Spencer thought that since the set said it was for ages 7 - 12 and he's only 6, he wasn't allowed to build it), Spencer spent the day building the castle. Colin sat in for the very beginning making people, and again at the very end building one wall, but other than that it was all Spencer. We are very proud of him!!!

That is awesome! I'm glad that Spencer didn't let his age stop him (because he's not almost 7 or anything either). Too fun! So nice for you to have kids old enough to accomplish something so cool, without all your time and devotion to it too!
