New Year's

Our New Year's Eve was fairly low key. We stayed in all day and played with our presents and stuff. Spencer spent a few hours building this truck, which has over 1,150 pieces:

And here is the finished product:

As we waited for "party time" we played a really fun game by Spy Gear called Agent Trackdown. All of us enjoyed it.

Here is Spencer making fun of Carson Daly:

Finally it was getting close to countdown time (no, not midnight - they're still young - 10:00 was plenty late), so the boys got ready to make a ruckus with their horns and squawkers and whatnot.

Greg counted down the time and we all made lots of noise and threw confetti into the driveway, which the boys loved, but which meant we had to pretty much strip them down as soon as they came in so they wouldn't track it all over the house, and then throw them into the shower. They were okay with that - it meant they got to stay up later! (:

Here's to a happy 2009!

I love the staying up til 10 pm thing. That's not a bad idea. We put ours to bed at grandma's house and went to my sister's house. It was almost like a date :). happy new year!
