Excited for Harry Potter

We went to see the new Harry Potter movie last Saturday. The kids were excited and wanted wands - and then Spencer decided to go all out and dress up for it.

You know what happens when you let two young boys bring wands into a movie theater? Lots of wand battles!

Now I just need to talk them into actually READING the books. Someday, kids, someday . . .

What did you think of the movie?

Justin and I went Friday, and it wasn't my favorite, I am wondering if I will like it more the second time around. (I was fully aware of what would be happening in the book... But i am not sure I liked the liberties they took in one or two directions, we will have to discuss it soon!)

I believe we all enjoyed it. For once I actually like some of the liberties they took with the story. Somehow it made the movie more interesting now knowing exactly how things were going to happen. The fight missing at the end, though, that I need to talk through with some people. I'm still not sure what to think about that change.

That's cool that Spencer went all out like that! I'm sure that at some point they will want to read the books. I've been trying for a few years to get Isabel to read them and she finally is and is loving them! Curtis is taking the girls to see the movie tomorrow (sob...I have to stay home and babysit!).

You just let them know, that some adults have wands and dress up too. How fun, how was the movie?
