Jaden turned 10 months old last Sunday. He's starting to seem more like a toddler than a baby these days - he is always on the go, go, go! Diapering him has turned into an Olympic event, usually involving holding him up by his toes as he squirms and twists to try to get away to do something more interesting (and sometimes succeeding, which results in some naked playtime as shown in the picture above). He has started getting lots of bruises from his adventures in climbing and attempts to walk, but he remains cheerfully determined.
Jaden loves to hold things in his hands pretty much all the time - especially tubes and bottles, so he likes to raid our bathrooms for lotions and shampoos. He loves to go up to tables and counters and stand on his tiptoes to see what he can reach and drag down. He has gotten even more vocal, with a wide variety of sounds and squeals and some words (most recognizably "Da Da" and "Ma Ma," but he also says "hi" and "buh" for brother). He still loves everyone around him - I don't know if he ever WILL go through stranger anxiety!
Here's Jaden with his Aunt Sandi during his first trip to the zoo.
Jaden wants to be in the thick of whatever his brothers are doing, sometimes to their dismay.
Jaden (with his usual tube in hand) having fun emptying a box of diaper wipes.
Jaden has started using lots of different things as chairs - people, toys, whatever. Pretty much everything except the actual chair we bought for him.
One of Jaden's new tricks is making funny sounds with his lips by strumming his fingers on them. This is him in the middle of doing that (while squatting and watching animals at the zoo - multi-tasking!).
Jaden exploring the fridge. Hmm, what to have for breakfast?
Jaden on his tiptoes, seeing if anything interesting was left behind in his highchair from his last meal.
