It's been one year since Jaden joined our family! Here's how we celebrated today.

Spencer made chocolate chip muffins. Here he is showing them off while Jaden nabs one.
After breakfast, Jaden got dressed up in his "I'm the birthday boy" shirt and got to play in his Cozy Coupe (which I bought a few months ago, but has been waiting for his birthday).
We went out to check out the Borders bookstore closing sale.
Jaden likes carrying around little books, though he started treating this one like a hat or scarf or something.
For lunch, we went to Chick-Fil-A, where we ordered Jaden his OWN meal for the first time. He was very happy to get an ice cream cone!
The manager came out and gave Jaden a balloon for his birthday. This was the first helium balloon he's encountered, and he was pretty darn thrilled about it!
Back at home (and after birthday nap time), Jaden got to play with his new velcro wooden food we picked up at Borders.

Then Jaden decided it was snack time, and his toes were handy.

We never managed to teach Jaden how to blow out a candle, so Colin gave him a little help.
Jaden REALLY enjoyed the cake and ice cream!
He enjoyed it so much that he got to go straight into a birthday bath.
Later on, we gave Jaden his last present of the day - a Sesame Street playset (so cute!).
Finally, after watching some Sesame Street and playing with toys, it was time for bed. Here's Jaden enjoying a bottle while his daddy plays piggies with his toes.
